week 1
Sustainability

When I started to think of sustainability thought of recycling so I brought together materials such as card bord, tin fail, bubble rap and used bolts to repurpose them as tools to create mark making to help design some print giving it a another life
week 2
emerging technologies

in this week I like the idea of there being a caricature in different thing’s around us and how teach as useful as it is does not have a face so I started to see and create faces for tech
week 3
nature

i started by taking photos of the objects of nature to use for the drawings then started to create a pigment out of the part of nature that I was drawing so it is a painting of the object from the object
week 4
Cultural sustainability

embroidery and flowers are part of British culture but I naturally dyed some thread
week 5
Empathy

when I think of empathy I think of giving and being a part of a big event for someone. I thought of clapping, giving joy and choose a memory in my head an drew it onto paper
I can see you have uploaded many pictures of your print works in the week1’s theme. And obviously, you have created a lot of patterns in one topic. It is wonderful that you have many thoughts about sustainability. But I can only see your week1 works so I am really looking forward to seeing your works for the next few weeks. I saw you not only uploaded works you made but also added some experimental processing. Everybody can know what tools you used and what these patterns came from. Because of photos, we can check our works, if there is something wrong, we can know how to correct it next time. It is a really good habit and I should learn from you. I noticed that you used red and green more than once. Plus yellow, it is a clear and wonderful colour match. And in my own opinion, I think you can try to mix colours to create different greens and reds. For example, the darker one and the lighter one. Then you can do steps the same as what you have done, and look how it can be different. It can help your works more brilliant. What is more I kind of like the first picture you uploaded, I like the colours you chose, green and orange. And I noticed you have made some collages from your works. This is a fantastic way for everyone to explore and develop. I am also concerned you tried many ways to make different combinations. What I mean is sometimes you print one pattern regularly but sometimes make them overlap. I am truly expecting your works next.
In my blog, I had the opportunity to explore various themes and engage in different creative processes such as natural dying, embroidery, and painting print. While I found great enjoyment in these experiences, I believe that I could have further enriched my artistic journey by incorporating more processes and materials, as well as dedicating more time to developing my ideas and refining them.
One aspect that particularly fascinated me was the process of creating pigments from natural objects found in nature. Although I found this process enjoyable, I was not entirely satisfied with the final results. I desired to add more intricate details and experiment with shading techniques to make the pigments appear more realistic. Additionally, I wanted to expand on the embroidery aspect by creating intricate patterns and exploring a wider range of colors. Conducting more research on other artists’ works could have provided me with inspiration and helped me generate new ideas to further develop my own artistic style.
Among the various themes I explored, the nature projects resonated with me the most. It was incredibly fulfilling to experiment with different natural materials and create pigments through the process of natural dying. This process allowed me to connect with nature on a deeper level and explore its beauty in a unique way.
Overall, while I found satisfaction in the themes and processes I explored in my blog, I believe that incorporating more processes and materials, dedicating more time to developing ideas, and conducting further research on other artists’ works would have enhanced my artistic journey. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with different ideas and themes, particularly the nature projects, which allowed me to delve into the fascinating world of natural dying and pigment creation.
